  Our garage door just gave up... midday on a Saturday... on a holiday weekend. We didn't really know who to use, but saw the reviews were strong for Overhead Door Company. They said they're open 24 hours. I can't fully verify that, of course, but they did answer quickly and were able to send someone out within the day. I was shocked! Brad did a great job of assessing the situation, fixing and fine tuning, and getting everything back in tip top shape in almost no time. We thought the price was very reasonable and it certainly beats having to replace the whole unit! Very pleased.

  Our door was out of kilter resulting in it closing higher each cycle when a loud snap accompanied the movement. We called and Ricky came that afternoon. He knew the cause right away, made the necessary repair and maintenance and- problem solved in 10 minutes. Experience matters! And, Ricky is a wonderful person in addition to a great technician.

  Excellent, Excellent  service from the initial  phone call ( the receptionist  was very courteous  and professional ! ) to actual service call ( the technician  was also very courteous  and professional,  he actually shook my hand at the beginning of the call and again at the end of the call ! ) .The cost of my repair was very reasonable also ! How do I test the reversing mechanism on my garage door opener?

Our expert technicans have a standard test for a garage door’s reversing mechanism. First, you should find even ground and place a 2″ x 4″ board where your door touches upon closing. If your door is working correctly, it should reverse within 2 seconds of hitting the wood after you attempt to close it. If the door doesn’t reverse, please feel free to contact us to have a qualified technician visit your home and diagnose the problem.

How often should I do this?

You should be repeating this process every 3 months.
